Abstract
This work proposes and designs a TBM cutterhead Jamming breakout test bench based on Hydro viscous clutch to address the engineering challenges of cutterhead jamming and difficulty in extricating in complex geological conditions of full section tunnel boring machines (TBMs). The study introduces hydro viscous clutch technology, which utilizes its controllable soft start characteristics to achieve flexible adjustment of cutterhead drive torque and transient high torque output function, significantly improving the system's ability to overcome jamming. On this basis, the overall design scheme of the experimental platform was elaborated in detail, with a focus on the selection and design of the mechanical structure, hydro viscous clutch, hydraulic system, and control system hardware. This study provides new driving ideas and experimental verification platforms for TBM cutterhead jamming breakout technology, which has important theoretical significance and engineering application value for improving the construction safety and excavation efficiency of TBM under harsh geological conditions.
