Abstract
This paper explores the transformative potential of large language models (LLMs), such as GPT-based systems, in foreign language education. By addressing current challenges in language acquisition and presenting innovative applications across listening, speaking, reading, and writing, the study underscores how LLMs enhance personalized, immersive learning experiences. The paper also discusses technical, ethical, and pedagogical challenges, providing actionable insights for educators, developers, and policymakers.
