Abstract
This review presents Israel Sanz-Sánchez’s edited volume, which argues for integrating a lifespan language acquisition perspective into historical sociolinguistics. The book is structured in two parts: a theoretical foundation reviewing acquisition literature, and a series of empirical case studies demonstrating its application. The review highlights the work’s comprehensive yet complex nature, concluding that it offers an innovative and influential framework for understanding language change.
