Abstract
The Wedding Party is rich in culture-loaded words that are specific to old Beijing. These words carry unique cultural connotations that are deeply rooted in the traditions and beliefs of the Chinese people, In order to address this challenge, this paper aims to explore English translation strategies for culture-loaded words in The Wedding Party, specifically focusing on folk culture-loaded words at the material, social, belief, and linguistic levels. By examining examples from the text, we can gain a better understanding on how these words can be effectively translated while preserving their cultural connotations.
