Abstract
With the increasing development of competitive sports and the intensification of competition, traditional leadership models have struggled to meet the diverse needs of modern athletes in areas such as technique, psychology, and teamwork. Adaptive leadership strategies, as a flexible and dynamic management approach, have gained increasing attention. This strategy emphasizes that coaches should make timely adjustments based on environmental changes and athlete characteristics, continuously enhancing athletes' performance in critical competitions through effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities. This study aims to explore the importance of adaptive leadership strategies in the long-term development forecast of badminton coaches, as well as their positive impact on athlete growth and team performance. The results indicating that the flexibility in coaching (p = <.001), collaborative team environment (p = 0.043), and systems thinking in strategic planning (p = 0.003) positively influence the assessment of long-term development in badminton. This study hopes to provide theoretical support for the comprehensive development of badminton, assisting coaches in guiding and motivating athletes more efficiently and successfully.
