The Influence of Social Networks on Household Income: Based on the Analysis of CHNS Microscopic Investigation Data

Abstract
This article uses the CHNS microscopic investigation data in 1989-2011, for the influence of social networks on household income to do the empirical analysis. Results show that a family social network significantly increase the family income level, especially the non-agricultural income families. This paper is also divided into urban households and rural households, the results show that compared to urban families, social network has a greater influence on rural family income. In addition, the results show that as to raise level of marketization, the level of economic development level, social services, and the impact of social networks on household income will decrease.
