Abstract
Craftsmanship is a vital spiritual aspect of China's manufacturing industry's transformation and upgrading in the new era. It is also an essential part of the educational reform of higher vocational colleges and universities. This paper definitively discusses the meaning of craftsmanship, analyses the necessity of cultivating craftsmanship from industrial, national and social perspectives, and proposes a clear path for the cultivation of craftsmanship at three levels: school teaching, school-enterprise cooperation and government guarantee.
