Abstract

In the process of inheriting and developing folk music in Suide County in Northern Shaanxi Province, the rise of modern popular music and popular literature has posed challenges to the inheritance of folk music. Therefore, Western harmony theory and modern music elements can be integrated to innovate the expression forms of traditional music, and new music themes can be developed, such as Suide folk opera. At the same time, art groups and cultural institutions should be established to promote traditional music education and performance activities, thereby effectively promoting the inheritance and development of folk music in Suide County in Northern Shaanxi Province.
